View Examples of Land Clearing Projects in Colorado
We invite you to view some before and after images of our land clearing projects we have worked on in the Larkspur, Sedalia and other Douglas Country areas.
Castle Rock Brush Clearing
When a Castle Rock owner wanted to improve the previous mastication work carried out on their 35-acre property, we were called in. After looking at the work and discussing the plan with our client, the goal was to create a larger fire-break path with brush clearing. It was currently at 40ft and together we decided 120ft would be best.
Not only did we improve the width of the path, but we also created a 6ft barrier along the entire fence line. The property now has extra protection but still plenty of the beauty across the whole land.

Sedalia
The property in Sedalia we were hired to manage was 8-acres in total, covered in scrub oak. While the scrub oak had been removed in the past, it had grown back. After a discussion, we found the best way to protect the property from fire damage was to clear the regrowth and ground all the stumps.
There were some sections with dead scrub oak, so they needed to be masticated. We also took away some of the dead stands. This greatly reduced fire hazard and improved the look of the property.

Larkspur
When we were called out to a 5-acre property in Perry Park East, Larkspur, we saw the good defensible space already set around the home. Now it was just a case of working on two other zones in the property.
With mastication, we removed scrub oak 25ft away from the back property line to create a 30-90ft fire break. The trees were left in place. At the end, we created another 80ft fire break. We then removed 150ft of scrub oak from the road to the leach field, leaving trees in place.
